Cowboy Voices

The cowboy is an old western character, as well as being a real hobbyist or occupational today. The cowboy is rural, often residing in the southern or western United States, though he can live in other areas with a rural, cowboy culture. Cowboys have an accent local to the area in which they grew up. Cowboys are assertive and independent characters, and often fall into the category of a rogue, outlaw or folk hero.

Cowboys can take on a couple different forms of character, ranging from a noble gentleman to a thief or robber. The cowboy may be a bounty hunter, a rancher or an outlaw, depending on the type of cowboy character being played. Cowboys are adventurous, looking to complete tasks, find treasures and defend their honour. Outlaw cowboys typically have less honour, and act criminally, or in the very least, hold disdain for law and order. The outlaw cowboy sees himself as the most important person, and does whatever he desires, despite the risks to himself or others. The more contemporary cowboy is the cowboy who shows up at rodeos or stampedes, who owns a ranch or homestead, and is deeply rooted in rural American culture. These cowboys usually herd cattle or horses, and are patient, hardworking and live simple lives.

One classic example of a cowboy is Woody from the Toy Story franchise, acting as one of the lead protagonists. Watching movies in the western movies genre or watching videos of rodeos and stampedes can give you examples of all varieties of cowboys as well, ranging from the hero, to the outcast, to the outlaw, to the contemporary rancher. Ready your horses and post a cowboy demo today!
